A new chapter in Sino-European science and technology exchanges: two major forums to be held soon
With the increasingly close global cooperation in science and technology, academic exchanges between China and Europe have also ushered in new opportunities for development. Recently, two major international academic exchange conferences – the 15th FCPAE European Forum and the 2024 China-EU Scientists Forum – are about to be held, which will build new bridges for China-EU scientific and technological cooperation and exchange.
15th FCPAE European Forum
The 15th FCPAE European Forum, to be held on November 15-16, 2024 in Paris, France, is the annual event of the Federation of Chinese Professional Associations across Europe (FCPAE). This year’s Forum especially celebrates the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France and aims to deepen the cooperation between China and Europe to create the future together. Since the first forum was successfully held in Paris in 2009, FCPAE Europe Forum has become an important platform for Sino-European science and technology and cultural exchanges, attracting thousands of representatives from governments, enterprises, research institutions and universities.
Co-organized by ASICEF and AICF, this year’s Forum will focus on ecological responsibility and a new era of Sino-European synergy. Keynote speeches will be delivered by the Chinese Ambassadors to the host countries, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, the European Union Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as by government officials and representatives of the host countries to deliver important messages from the Chinese government and to promote scientific, technological and cultural exchanges between China and Europe.
2024 China-EU Scientists Forum
Focusing on the new blueprint for Sino-European cooperation in science and technology, the 2024 China-EU Scientists Forum will provide a platform for Chinese and European scientists to exchange ideas and share research results through a series of sub-forums and thematic discussions. Jiang Linhua, chairman of the forum’s organizing committee, said that the China-EU Scientists Forum is committed to promoting China-EU cooperation in the field of science and technology innovation, and to promoting exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in cutting-edge science and technology fields such as new energy vehicles, autonomous driving and artificial intelligence.
One of the highlights of the China-EU Scientists Forum is its in-depth participation in and active promotion of China-EU scientific and technological cooperation. The Forum team has not only participated in a number of international scientific and technological exchange activities, but also established cooperative relationships with a number of international organizations and scientific research institutions, providing strong support for China-EU scientific and technological cooperation.
The convening of the two forums not only provides new opportunities for Sino-European cooperation in science and technology, but also builds a bridge for exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in the field of science and technology innovation. With the deepening of Sino-European scientific and technological exchanges, we have reason to believe that these forums will become an important force in promoting Sino-European scientific and technological cooperation, and make positive contributions to the scientific and technological development of the two sides and even the world.
